Anjum Bashir MD ( Psychiatrist )
Dr. Bashir is with us since 2006.
He graduated from Dow medical college and finished residency at siu school of medicine Springfield il in 2002.
He has vast experience in treating mental health conditions including in inpatient hospital , residential facilities, nursing homes and mental health center but his main passion is treating in outpatient setting He believes in biopsychosocial model of treating mental illnesses.
He strongly believes in advanced treatments and that is one of the reason he has been doing Tms therapy for depression shortly after it was FDA cleared . And has years of experience and thousand of treatments performed under his supervision with great outcomes for our patients and their families
He also is one of handful providers in il who performs ADHD qb test in office which is FDA cleared test for ADHD
He works closely with families, therapists psychologist, primary care providers to provide best possible care for our community
William Gillen, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, PhD
William Gillen, LCPC, PhD enjoys helping and educating clients. His diverse background in mental health helps builds strong therapeutic relationships with his clients and their families. He provides educational information to support each person’s mental health journey. He has 25 years of experience in the mental health field.
Dr. Gillen has conducted assessments for ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, major depression, bipolar disorders, anxiety disorders, and associated disorders at Decatur Psychiatry, LTD for more than 12 years.
His undergraduate degree is from Millikin University, and his Master’s degree from the University of Illinois. At age 50, he returned to Walden University to obtain a PhD. in research with a concentration in measurement and assessment of ADHD and associated comorbidities.
Dr. Gillen’s clinical experience includes individual counseling for adolescents and adults, long term residential treatment, and psychological testing.
Thomas Stewart, Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Thomas Stewart, LCSW has 40 years of clinical experience. He has worked in various patient care settings; however, his primary focus is with adolescents and adults who are working on mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and associated comorbidities.
He received his undergraduate degree is from Eastern Illinois University and his Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois.
Katy Lambert, Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Katy Lambert, LCSW has 17 years of clinical experience. She enjoys encouraging her clients and helping them grow in whatever areas they want to. She recognizes that choosing to seek help can be difficult, and is eager to provide a safe space to make the process easier for her clients. Katy enjoys working with all age groups and has experience in many areas.
She graduated with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois in Champaign, IL, specializing in community mental health.
Annie Smith, Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Annie graduated with a Master’s in Social Work from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2006, and she received her LCSW in 2014. Her social work- related experience includes working in mental health at several psychiatric facilities in hospitals, a School Social Worker in several area school districts, and private practice.
Annie enjoys helping children, teens, and adults strengthen their perspective on their natural abilities to achieve balance in life, along with meeting their needs to gain life satisfaction. Some treatment areas that she works with clients on includes, conflict/resolution, self-compassion, self-esteem, behavior modification, problem solving, parenting strategies, stress management, effective communication, and anger management.
Rene Griffin, Administrative assistant, QB technician (for ADHD testing)
Rene has worked at Decatur Psychiatry, LTD since 2017. She can help schedule appointments, answer any questions you may have about our office, and help coordinate care between clients and their provider. Rene is the first friendly face you get to see when entering our office. She’s always ready to help with anything you need.
Holli Westerfield, Office Manager, TMS Coordinator
Holli has worked at Decatur Psychiatry, LTD since 2009, and is the TMS coordinator and office manager. She can help schedule appointments, answer questions about billing and insurance, and coordinate care between clients and their provider. Holli is our TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) coordinator. TMS is an FDA cleared therapy for major depression. Holli educates patients on TMS, manages the insurance investigation of coverage for TMS, and answers any questions you have about TMS therapy.
